Helping Businesses • Helping Our City
The Reno Rebuild Project was born from the experiences of local entrepreneurs who grew up in Reno and recognized a pressing need in our community. In 2012, we witnessed the devastating impact of the recession, significant corporate dominance, and the lack of small business loans. We encountered countless rejections from banks when trying to expand our existing businesses or start new ventures. However, we were fortunate enough to have the support of friends and family who believed in us and provided the necessary funds to chase our dreams.
Sadly, we understand that not everyone enjoys such privilege. Many talented individuals in the Reno area possess brilliant business ideas that could be more active and supported due to a lack of capital.
Our mission is to address this problem head-on. Since our beginning, we have been wholeheartedly committed to our community and fellow citizens.
Born from the experiences of local business owners facing financial obstacles. We believe in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and filling the gaps big corporations and banks left. Starting in 2012, our businesses pledged to donate $.05 from every sale to The Reno Project Fund. Each year, we select a Reno-based individual with a promising business idea to receive a low-interest loan, with all payments returned to the fund for future funding.
We are dedicated to helping rebuild our community and fostering local small businesses. Together, we can restore faith in the entrepreneurial spirit of Reno and create a thriving environment for new ventures. Our customers are vital in contributing to the fund and rebuilding our city.
Aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply their innovative ideas that can bring something new and meaningful to Northern Nevada. We value pride of ownership, community involvement, and businesses that make Reno proud. We hope that, in the future, our recipients will also find ways to support others on their entrepreneurial journey.
